Soprano Ambassador of a new french vocal school Isabelle Poulenard has enchanted music lovers from Paris to Prague ( in the same theatre where Mozart's Don Giovanni was premiered!) and from New York to Tokyo. A born actress, her almost contagious joy of singing has delighted the audiences of such major venues as the Paris Opera and the renowned Teatro Colon of Buenos Aeres.Her impressive discography boasts over fifty recordings, including many prize winners. ![]() During her impressive career Isabelle Poulenard has appeared under the direction of Mstsilav Rostropovitch, Charles Dutoit, Philippe Herreweghe, Sigiswalkd Kuijken, amongst others. An ardent champion of French music she is known for her perfomances as Soeur Constance in Poulenc's Dialogoue des Carmelites. A specialist of the baroque style she appeared in the Aix-en-Provence Festival's production of Rameau's les Indes Galantes directed by William Christie. |
