Lachrymae, John Dowland’s “shower of Harmonie” greatly magnified his already brilliant reputation. Entirely instrumental, the “Lachrymae or Seven Tears” takes its inspiration from Dowland’s most beloved song “Flow my Tears” - its melody weaving throughout this poignant polyphonic tapestry.
